Metering Research was founded in 2015 as academic spin-off company of the University of Salerno. Its mission is to develop innovative ICT solutions in the field of distributed measurement systems and Wireless Sensor Networks. Subject of the enterprise are: i) design (HW, FW, SW) and production of devices, equipment and systems for digital signal and image processing; ii) design and installation of Automatic Metering Infrastructures (AMIs) in the domain of Smart Cities and Internet of Things (IoT). Field of application are: tele-management of public utility, remote readings of electrical energy, gas and water consumption, Traffic light control, public lighting and parking areas, tele-assistance for the elderly and disabled.

Antonio Pietrosanto is Full Professor of Electrical and Electronic Measurement at the University of Salerno, since 1/11/2001. Chief of the Measurement Laboratories of the Department of Industrial Engineering. He has the courses of Electronic Measurements and Virtual Measurement Systems for the MS degree in Electronic Engineering. Scientific coordinator of research financed by public (MIUR, MISE, PON, region) and private bodies. He is senior member of IEEE and of member of national and international journal’s editorial boards. He’s founder of three spin off of the University of Salerno: “SPRING OFF srl” (he’s also the CEO from 2008) and “Metering Research srl” and “Hippocratica Imaging”.
SPRING OFF. Founded in 2008 as spin off company of the University of Salerno. The mission is to develop systems and devices designed to interact with the environment, other systems and their unpredictable variability in order to control and manage trends. Today has a joint venture with MUPO srl for the production of MAGNETO a semi active suspension system for motorbykes.
